Esperanza Acosta Moreno Regional Library winner of two YALSA/Dollar Literacy Summer Reading Grants
The Esperanza Acosta Moreno Branch of the El Paso Public Library has been awarded two $1,000 grants by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) , a division of the American Library Association. These grants are funded by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation and will be used to create innovative Summer Reading Programs for teens including the hiring and training of teen interns. These grants will provided opportunities for teens to create, illustrate, and possibly publish their own graphic novels.
