New opportunity to win IPAD 2, Microsoft Tablet and Kindle fire

EPPL with local banks, credit unions, and community outreach programs with local non-profict organizations sponsor and coordinate the Money Smart Week campaign.  The goals of this campaign is to provide financial education resources, educate the community, educators, policymakers of the importance of financial literacy, and publicize financial resources available to El Paso's diverse community.

As part of this initiative EPPL and Money Smart sponsors are sponsoring an ESSAY/ART contest. "This year's Essay/Art contest title is "What career do I want to pursue? When do I begin planning for this? Where do I want to study and why? How can I fund my college education?"  Students are asked to write a one page essay about the topic and finalists are required to illustrate the topic with a shredded-money art piece.  This contest is open to all middle school students (6th - 8th) residing in the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas - El Paso Branch's geographical region."

Timeline:  Essays due December 13, 2013 may download entry forms at http://www.moneysmartweekep.org/#!events
