Teens had a fantastic evening creating, drawing and painting at the Esperanza Acosta Library! Still time to register and join us!

Session 1 June 5:  Announcing the project & video presentation of library artwork.
Session 2 June 12 The selection of the characters & guided practice drawing Spider-Man by breaking the image down into simple shapes. Sheets of butcher paper was distributed to participants so that they could begin drawing their characters on a bigger scale.

Session  3 June 19 Additional  guided practice drawing Iron Man by breaking the image down into simple shapes using negative & positive space. The  image of Iron Man was projected on a screen through a document camera which enables a side by side live demonstration of the reference picture and the drawing that is being made of it. Participants continued drawing their characters on butcher paper.

Session 4 June 26 Final adjustments were made to the drawings on butcher paper & then taped onto the windows. Next all outlines of the character were traced onto the windows with black paint.
Session 5 July 3 Adding color to the window characters in thin layers.

Still time to register for SRC and join us for this exciting and challenging project.
