Pete the Cat is a groovy, blue cat. No matter where he goes, Pete the Cat always keeps his cool. He loves surfing, playing baseball and guitar, spending time with his friends, and trying new things.

Children's Kingdom Learning Center will be sponsoring their annual free Summer meal program for children 18 and under, located at our library branch. All meals are provided at no cost for children 18 and under every Monday thru Thursday.

Frozen Storytime: Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?!

On Tuesday, 19 December 2017 we will be having a special Frozen themed storytime to kick off the current Winter season. During this special storytime, there will be music, stories, and a special Do You Wanna Build a Snowman craft. So dress up as your favorite Frozen character and join us for this special themed storytime.

Accelerated Reader

Ms. Carmen has set up a convenient table with premade AR book kits. These kits are paired together by reading level ranging from 0-7. Also, come find one of the Librarians so they can tell you how many points a particular book may be. 

What is AR (Accelerated Reader)?

Accelerated Reader is a computerized reading tool that assists with your child's reading practice. Students select books according to their appropriate reading levels. After reading the book, students take a computerized quiz and are awarded points based on performance. Points are used throughout the year to assist with monitoring your child's reading performance.

Easter Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza: Saturday, 15 April 2017

Come join us as we host our annual Easter Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza! We have a day of fun planned which includes: a special themed storytime; an egg hunt; and a movie, crafts, and refreshments for those waiting their time for their egg hunt.

What better way to end summer vacation than with a PARTY?! We will be hosting an End of Summer Party to say farewell to summer vacation and hello to the incoming school year.

CHILDREN

Come and enjoy live entertainment ft. Millennium Waves, face painting & balloons by Mr. Universe, treat bags & games, and the grand prize raffle of 2 brand new bikes!

*to be eligible for the bikes, children must be registered in the Summer Reading Club at the EAM location*

TEENS

Meet us at the park behind the library to kickoff our first teen only kickball & sand volleyball tournament @10.30AM. To help battle the heat, water and popsicles will be provided. Also, PokeMon Go incense and lures will be used all day. So come and play and catch those rare PokeMon that you don't have just yet!

Storytime Fun

Storytime is a time where children have the opportunity to be read to by a Librarian regarding all sorts of fun themes.

You guessed it! The ZOO!!!

Ms. Debi sang silly songs, read fun books about the zoo, and ended with a cute mask for everyone to create. 

Our library hosts storytime 4x per week all beginning at 11AM, and following storytime, come check out up to 30 books from our wide selection.

Encourage your child to read by reading and having fun along with them. If your child wants to read the same books, allow them to. Children love repetition, and in fact, need it in order to learn.
